Enhancing Literacy & Expanding Access to Technology
Empowering educators, students and communities to embrace the transformative power of education in an increasingly digital world.

Our Education portfolio is guided by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal of ensuring that every child has access to equitable, high-quality education.
Our journey began with the reconstruction of Lakes Pen Basic School in St. Catherine — our very first project. In partnership with the community and the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF), we transformed a vision into reality, planting seeds of hope and opportunity for generations to come. From that single school, a movement grew.
In 2009, we launched the Enrichment Programme, channelling a joint USD $3.7 million investment with USAID into 231 Enrichment Rooms across primary schools nationwide — spaces built to nurture young minds and strengthen the foundation of literacy and numeracy for children island-wide.
We broadened our reach into STEAM learning, renovating 13 science labs and deploying 42 mobile science units to bring practical, hands-on discovery directly to students in their communities. Real experiments. Real equipment. Real curiosity sparked in places it had never been before.
Today, our focus has expanded powerfully into the digital frontier. With 28 Smart Labs established in primary schools, special needs institutions and teacher training colleges across Jamaica and over 34,000 students trained in digital literacy and online safety, we are equipping Jamaicans with the skills and confidence to thrive in an increasingly digital world and preparing them for the careers, entrepreneurship and innovation that the 4th Industrial Revolution demands.
From early childhood centres to universities, we're building the infrastructure, training the educators and putting technology in the hands of Jamaicans who need it most.
