Digicel Foundation Supports Play Day Jamaica at Genesis Academy

Kingston, Jamaica – February 4, 2026 - Digicel Foundation joined educators and students at Genesis Academy in Kingston on Tuesday, February 4, to celebrate Play Day Jamaica, an annual initiative observed every February that underscores the importance of play in teaching and learning. The day was filled with fun, interactive activities designed to encourage creativity, physical movement and social engagement, reinforcing the role of play as a powerful tool for holistic child development.

During the celebrations, the Digicel Foundation Board of Directors and team actively participated in the day’s activities, engaging directly with students through games and recreational exercises. From cheering on obstacle course races to sharing joyful moments on the playground, the Foundation’s involvement highlighted its continued commitment to creating inclusive, engaging learning environments where students can thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
