Port-au-Prince, Haiti – October 4, 2024: The Digicel Foundation continues to accept applications for the third edition of its Influencer Contest until October 13, 2024.

The Foundation invites Haitian influencers to submit projects that benefit their community, reflecting their commitment and desire for change.

Following the success of the first two editions, the Digicel Foundation has decided to renew this initiative. Jennika Joseph, winner of the first edition, organized pastry training sessions for around twenty single mothers, enabling them to acquire skills and concrete means to support themselves. Similarly, PMC The Master, winner of the second edition, trained about sixty young people in graphic design, screen printing, and photography, also providing them with income-generating tools.

It is important to note that the projects submitted are not limited to training sessions and can extend to various other fields, as long as they share the common goal of community engagement.

Who can participate? The contest is open to Instagram influencers who meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Haitian citizen residing in Haiti;

  • Have at least 5,000 followers on an active personal Instagram account;

  • Submit a video no longer than 60 seconds presenting a social initiative to fondation.projet@digicelgroup.com by October 13, 2024.

Documents to submit with the video

  • A valid ID;

  • The participant’s Instagram handle;

  • A detailed description of the proposed activity.

Reward The contest winner will receive a prize of USD 5,000 to implement their project, in partnership with the Digicel Foundation.

Selection and public vote Videos will be evaluated by a jury composed of members of the Digicel Foundation and its board. The videos that best meet the criteria will be selected by the jury and posted for voting on the Foundation’s Instagram page. The top three videos (based on interactions, engagement, and reach) will then be submitted for public voting via the Foundation’s Instagram story.
