Digicel Foundation unveils the 18 winners of the eighth edition of its Konbit Pou Chanjman campaign

In a festive atmosphere across three departments, the Digicel Foundation proudly unveiled the list of winning organizations for the eighth edition of its Konbit Pou Chanjman campaign. The event, attended by members of the press, board members, and various guests, once again supported community projects in all ten departments of the country. This initiative continues to promote sustainable development and improve the living conditions of local populations.
Launched in 2017, the Konbit Pou Chanjman campaign has enabled the implementation of numerous projects in diverse areas such as agriculture, access to clean water, and community development. These initiatives aim to enhance living conditions throughout the country, particularly in remote areas. For the eighth edition, which began on May 8, 2024, the Foundation received a significant number of applications. Following a rigorous evaluation, 48 projects were selected for in-depth field studies, and 25 were shortlisted for the final phase. These finalists benefited from training sessions and presented their projects to a jury comprised of the Foundation’s board members. Ultimately, 18 organizations were awarded funding, each receiving $10,000 USD.
Additionally, this year, the Digicel Foundation held its "Konbit Pou Chanjman Special" campaign for the second time. This initiative aimed to reward a previous winner with an additional grant of $15,000 USD to implement a new project. Nearly 40 applications were received, and the winning organization was selected based on the quality of their submitted project and their professionalism demonstrated during their earlier participation.
“These projects highlight the determination and ingenuity of local actors committed to the well-being of their communities. We firmly believe that these initiatives, driven by strong leadership and consistent dedication, will have a positive impact, paving the way for a more prosperous and inclusive future for the country,” stated Sophia Stransky, Executive Director of the Foundation.
