History of the School:
The School was founded in September 2000 by Stephen Exilien on a property of the Heart of Jesus' mission in Port-January. This school had a staff 6, 4 teachers, and a director, and 75 students,. The annual tuition fees were 150 gourdes while each teacher receiving monthly salaries of 750 gourdes. The funds allocated to the operation of the school were funded by the Reverend Pastor Lesly Armond
About the School:
Lageho Community College is working with a certificate authorized by the Ministry of Education. There are 200 students enrolled at school, 94 boys and 106 girls and 7 teachers who teach maths, French, Creole and Social Sciences and Experimental and Religion.
This school teaches up to grade 6 .
The Board is composed of 4 people the director, two parents, the local pastor. The Committee's role is to manage the affairs of the school. The committee consists of 5 parents who monitor the functioning of the school.
Partners of the school:
In 2007 the Foundation DIGICEL reconstructed and furnished the school. In 2008, the Foundation financially supports the payment and training of teachers.
The school is part of a food program. This program is supported by WFP, which gives to eat to teachers and students every day, throughout the school year, rice, peas, corn and sardines. Students are vaccinated by the MSPP.
