Port-au-Prince, Haiti – Monday, June 12, 2023: Digicel is proud to announce its support for the Haitian delegation at the Special Olympics World Games, which will take place from June 17 to 25 in Berlin, Germany. With approximately 170 countries represented, it is the world's largest inclusive sporting event.

This sponsorship, including a $50,000 funding from Digicel and its Foundation, will help cover travel expenses and other necessary costs to ensure the participation of six athletes competing in equestrian, athletics, and table tennis. It is worth noting that since 2006, Digicel has been supporting the mission of Special Olympics Haiti, which aims to provide individuals with special needs the ongoing opportunity to develop their physical and mental abilities.
