MONDAY NOVEMBER 30, 2020: PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO- TT$50,000 for Christmas! That’s what Santa Digicel Foundation will give to four not-for-profit groups who have a project that can bring their communities together this Christmas. The Digicel Foundation is offering a total of TT$200,000 to be equally divided among four community groups. The call for applications begins on November 30th, 2020 and ends on December 14th, 2020.
COVID-19 has posed major challenges for everyone and severely impacted the work done by many not-for-profit organisations across T&T this year. In keeping with the giving spirit of the season, the Foundation is inviting all registered non-profit organizations to apply for a grant of TT$50,000 as part of its ‘Better Together Christmas’ Initiative.
The application process is simple; Non-profit groups can apply using the application form provided on the Foundation’s social media pages @digicelfoundationtt (both FB and IG). Each group needs to submit a 3-min video presentation describing the project and capturing its impact. The video must be uploaded to YouTube and the link emailed to Digicelfoundationtt@digicelgroup.com. The project must demonstrate how it will bring others together at the execution phase. Only one application per group will be accepted.
The initiative is meant to bring communities together by developing team spirit among community groups as they continue make a difference to people’s lives in every part of the country. The approval committee is looking for innovation, use of technology and the creativity that involves the wider community in its implementation.
