EL DORADO NORTH HINDU BENEFITS FROM PHASE II OF CONNECTING YOU PROGRAMME

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 05, 2020: PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – El Dorado North Hindu School was one of latest recipients of 27 tablets distributed to them last Thursday 28th October through Phase II of the Digicel Foundation’s Connecting you programme. El Dorado North Hindu School is one of the 65 schools that will receive devices in this Phase of the programme.

Principal of El Dorado North Hindu, Mr. Mahindranath Maharaj was thrilled to receive the donated devices from Digicel endorsee, Nadia Batson. Nadia expressed content with being able to a part of this initiative with the Foundation as they continue to provide support to schools in communities in Trinidad and Tobago. She was especially excited to be on location with the team since she grew up just about a stone’s throw away from the school. Additionally, Nadia noted that the importance of students having access to a device during this time, especially for homes with more than one child. Also in attendance was the school’s Vice Principal, Mrs. Nalini Ramdhanie and President of the Parent Teachers Committee, David Douglas and his wife Cherry-Ann Douglas.

The Digicel Foundation is working closely with the Ministry of Education and is proud to incorporate its Connecting You programme as part of the Ministry’s Adopt a School Programme.
