FRIDAY JUNE 1 2018: PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – Over 50 Community Based representatives participated in the Digicel Foundation Open Day on May 18, to be considered for a Digicel Foundation Extraordinary Projects Impacting Communities (EPIC) grant.
The Open Day which took place at the Digicel Hospitality Suite at the Queen’s Park Oval, was designed to guide interested registered groups on how to apply for US$5,000 grant programme. Representatives were able to meet with a Digicel Foundation team member, pitch their project ideas and get assistance to complete and submit their applications.
This year the Digicel Foundation has 25 EPIC grants to issue for indoor or outdoor community projects that meet the programme criteria. The successful applicants will be notified by the Foundation team within the next two weeks.
The EPIC initiative was launched in 2016 and to date there are 40 EPIC communities projects which thus far has impacted over 22,000 persons in Trinidad and Tobago with an investment of TT$1.3 million.
