INCLUSION AND TOGETHERNESS AT 4TH FOUNDATION KIDDIE PUMP

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 15 2017:  PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – Over 1000 patrons flocked to the Nelson Mandela Park, Port of Spain on Saturday February 11 for the Digicel Foundation Kiddie Pump.

 

Included in the large crowd were over two hundred persons from the Lady Hochoy Schools, Goodwill Industries, NCPD, Tobago School for the Deaf, Aspirare Learning Centre and several other special needs organisations who enjoyed all of the games, giveaways, live performances and treats at the inclusive affair. The annual event is one of the Foundation’s largest to promote awareness and inclusion of persons with special needs in everyday life and activities.

 

DJs Dillon Main, Adam 2MV, Ricardo De Gannes and Akil Tegarooks of the Artiste Team kept the crowd energized during the three hours of fun and excitement from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.

 

The excited kids were fully engaged as they moved from activity to activity taking in the magic shop, the storytelling corner, carnival games, the bran tub, face painting,go karts, bouncy maze and lots more. Mickey and Minnie, Dame Lorraine and Mr Moko Jumbie also left the kiddies in awe.

 

Ending off the event were surprise performances from soca artiste Erphraan Alves and Digicel Endorsee Kees Dieffenthaller.

 

Partnering with the Digicel Foundation for what has become a staple for the kids during the Carnival Season were SM Jaleel, Nestle, Blue Waters, Funnables, Rene Sound and Vision, Fancy Events, Gerard Alfonso and Sno Bizz.
