The second school to launch its new library is Pomara Elementary School which opened the doors to its new library on Friday 22nd May 2015. Pomara Elementary School is also located in the Kerema District of Gulf Province and was issued an elementary school structure in financial year 2012-2013. Since that time the school has shown great community ownership and good governance by looking after the classroom and ensuring that it’s properly maintained. These efforts were seen during the Foundation’s audit checks and this was when the school was nominated for the rewards program. They have now received a library worth K 90,000 which comes with library shelves, books, chairs, tables, a desktop computer and solar lighting.
