Digicel PNG Foundation kick-started its 2014 Community Learning Centre (CLC) Christmas Program with visits to the O’Connor, Oro Badina and Gateway CLCs this week. “The purpose of the Christmas program is to acknowledge the commitment of our young CLC students who have attended school. It’s especially to recognise their achievements for the 2014 academic year and also wish them all the best as they continue their education journey into formal school,” said Beatrice Mahuru, Chief Executive Officer of Digicel PNG Foundation. During these visits, staff of Digicel PNG Ltd, are given the opportunity to visit a CLC with the Digicel PNG Foundation team to experience first-hand the impact of the Foundation’s community relations programs. Digicel staff had fun interacting with the children and talking to them about what they've learn in school and how they plan to celebrate Christmas. The visits will continue to ten other CLCs in the National Capital District and then proceed onto the CLCs in Central and Gulf Provinces.
