Standing proudly in the carpark of the Waterfront Supermarket with its signature red roof, is the Digicel PNG Foundation’s Display Village. “The objective of the Display Village is to give Members of Parliament, corporate organisations, potential donors and other interested parties an opportunity to physically see and experience what a classroom set up consists of. The Display Village is not only a way of promoting the work of Digicel PNG Foundation in the rural, remote communities but also aims to garner partnerships,” said Beatrice Mahuru, CEO of Digicel PNG Foundation. The Display Village was officially launched and opened to the general public in the presence of partners and invited guests. The Display Village consists of two classrooms, 40 desks, a 9000 litre water tank, solar lighting, two ventilation improved piping toilets, two showers and library shelves and will be on display for three months. The Display Village is open for viewing and members of the general public are encouraged to speak with our representative on site for more detailed information on the work of the Foundation. Find out how you can partner with us to provide quality education infrastructure for our rural remote communities.
