COMMUNITY STREET DANCES IN DOWNTOWN GET SUPPORT FROM DIGICEL
In the spirit of embracing the communities where its future global headquarters is located, Digicel has said it will be sponsoring a series of Community Street Dances across the communities of Tivoli Gardens, Allman Town, Rae Town and Fletcher’s Land in Downtown Kingston. in Tivoli Gardens on October 16
th, followed by
‘Cook Out Wednesdays’ in Rae Town on October 17
th. The parties then continue on October 18
th with
‘Yard Cloth Thursdays’ in Allman Town and climaxes with
‘Party Cup’ in Fletcher’s Land on Friday, October 19
th. In thanking Digicel for its support, O’Neill Smith, Coordinator of Downtown Carnival said, “It’s great that Digicel is on board to support Downtown Kingston in this way, first with its 5K run/walk and now these community street dances. The communities are already very excited because they know that Digicel will definitely lift the spirit of the parties on these nights and we’re all looking forward to have a great time”. th, the charity arm of the telecommunications company - Digicel Foundation - will host its 5K Night Run/Walk which will see over 5,000 participants running and walking Downtown. The initiative, which has drummed up huge support for various sponsors, is being staged to raise much needed funds for eight Special Needs schools and institutions in Jamaica. In addition to having these parties featured on the social pages of Skkanmedia, Infuzion Inc, Funinjamaica.com and Digicel’s Facebook page, patrons will get to win phones, credit and other giveaways in various competitions at each party.
