Digicel Foundation supports Camara Launch

The Camara Foundation originated from out of Ireland, Camara is a volunteer-driven charity organisation that has to date established hubs in Africa, the UK, US and now the Caribbean.

Its mission is to use technology to deliver and improve education throughout the world while operating on two distinct philosophies; “Education Delivery” and “Computer Re-use”.

The Camara Foundation receives computers from organizations or individuals which they refurbish and ‘sell’ to schools at a minimal cost. Their goal is to provide over 10,000 computers a year to educational facilities in a manner that improves education and these will be sold to the schools at a minimal cost to recover overhead costs such as training for the teachers etc.
