Seventh Edition for Konbit Pou Chanjman

Port-au-Prince, HAITI - Wednesday, May 10, 2023: The Digicel Foundation is calling on organizations interested in obtaining a $10,000 funding for the implementation of a community project and confirms that at least 15 organizations will benefit from it.

With 108 projects funded since the launch of its Konbit Pou Chanjman campaign in 2017, the Digicel Foundation is pleased to continue the initiative by encouraging institutions from all 10 departments to submit community projects by July 21, 2023.

As in previous editions, the criteria remain unchanged. Thus, any nonprofit organization based and registered in Haiti, existing for at least three years, can apply for a grant in the following categories: Education, Livelihoods, Culture, Access, Inclusion, and Environment.

Furthermore, the foundation is delighted to announce the launch of an online platform aimed at facilitating the application submission process. It is available at www.fondationdigicelhaiti.com as well as on the social media pages of the Digicel Foundation. In addition, the foundation provides tutorials on its YouTube page, explaining the steps to follow for easy platform usage. Physical forms are also available at Digicel stores in all ten departments. Once completed, these forms can be submitted at the same locations.

What are the important dates to remember?

  • The submission deadline is July 21, 2023. All organizations that have applied will automatically be enrolled in Phase 1 and will receive an email informing them that their application is being processed.
  • Notification for Phase 2 will be on September 7, 2023. All organizations will receive an email informing them whether they have been selected for this phase or not. Those selected will be contacted to schedule a site visit with the Konbit Pou Chanjman evaluation team.
  • The final phase will be announced on December 13, 2023. All organizations that participated in Phase 2 will receive an email indicating whether they have been selected or not for this phase.
  • In January 2024, the finalists will present their community project to the Konbit Pou Chanjman jury. The award ceremony, where the winners will be announced, will take place during the same month. In addition to the funding, the winners will also receive training on nonprofit governance and management.
