At the beginning of the financial year in April 2020, our outlook for the months ahead was not promising. The Covid-19 pandemic had just hit Haiti, and we were apprehensive about the effect it would have on the Digicel Foundation's work and the nation in general. Though health was never a sector of focus for the Foun­dation, we were scurrying to see how we could limit the negative impacts of this new virus. Our staff invested their time working with grassroots organizations and school councils, creating awareness around Covid-19 and the best practices for spread prevention. Parallel to this, donations were made to health organizations actively helping infected persons.
