Digicel Foundation partners to deliver one-of-a-kind environmental management system to Carron Hall High

Mr. Johnson is proud to note that the state-of-the-art Environmental Management System, which was officially handed over on Tuesday, February 5, has had a positive impact on the school. The project, which has several integrated components, is the result of an innovative partnership between the Digicel Foundation and the Scientific Research Council (SRC), Carron Hall High School, Food for the Poor Jamaica, American Friends in Jamaica and Caribbean Broilers Limited.

Digicel Chairman donates JA$16.5M to Mustard Seed Communities for new multi-purpose centre

The staff and residents of the Mustard Seed Communities are gearing up for the construction of a new multi-purpose centre at their St Catherine-based Jerusalem residential care facility for children with special needs. This, after receiving a JA$16.5 million grant from Digicel Chairman Denis O’Brien through the Digicel Foundation.

Lorna Anderson a warm-hearted woman who works as an Office Attendant at Digicel, had an early Christmas wish become a reality this year! Ms Lorna, as she is affectionately called, had the vision of a new playground for the Holy Family Infant School on Laws Street, Kingston, and saw the new facilities officially opened for the children on Wednesday, December 12.

Enhanced security measures make downtown Kingston safer for Digicel 5K Run

The newly-declared State of Emergency will not affect activities at the Digicel 5K Run for Special Needs, so says Running Events Director Alfred ‘Frano’ Francis. The Digicel 5K will be held at the Digicel Headquarters, downtown, and will begin at 7:00pm.
